Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to radiation safety protocols and proper aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient management and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote optimal dental health. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments, sterilizing equipment, and following infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and clinical assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry. Proficiency in dental software platforms like Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and medical records management. Ability to accurately perform dental x-ray procedures while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry along with familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices when working with children. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, including pediatric patients, and collaborate with the dental team. Certification in dental assisting or relevant healthcare training; additional certifications in medical imaging or infection control are advantageous.
