Registered Dental Assistant Southwest Family Dentistry - 3.0 Bakersfield, CA Job Details Part-time $21 - $23 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Hand hygiene Personal protective equipment (PPE) use Registered Dental Assistant Dental x-ray Dental equipment Ultrasonic cleaning infection control method Surface decontamination Autoclaving Full Job Description Responsibilities Assist doctors with general, surgical, endodontics, restorative dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures Take diagnostic-quality digital X-rays Perform RDA duties within the scope permitted by California law Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients Maintain proper infection control, sterilization, and OSHA standards Turn over and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms Review the schedule and prepare appropriately for upcoming procedures Maintain and organize dental instruments, supplies, and equipment Help monitor inventory and communicate when supplies need to be ordered Accurately document treatment and relevant clinical information Help keep the clinical schedule running efficiently and on time Communicate professionally with doctors, hygienists, front-office staff, and other assistants Provide a friendly and reassuring experience for patients Assist other team members when needed Qualifications Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required Current dental radiography qualifications as required by California Current CPR/BLS certification Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols Strong communication and organizational skills Dependable and punctual Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinical environment Previous dental assisting experience preferred
