The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is highly desirable. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Perform chairside assisting duties while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately in medical documentation. Manage patient records, including medical coding and documentation within EMR systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as needed. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when required, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology. Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry being a plus. Proficient in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is advantageous. Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential. Ability to perform medical imaging tasks and understand medical terminology. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
