Temporary Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant Chico, CA | Full-Time | Temporary Position | Immediate Start We're looking for a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis, providing coverage for a valued team member who is currently on medical leave. This position is available immediately and is expected to last approximately 3-4 months. It is ideal for an experienced dental assistant who enjoys helping people, takes pride in providing excellent patient care, and works well in a positive, fast paced environment. What We Offer Negotiable salary based on experience Monday-Thursday schedule Paid sick leave and PTO Medical benefit stipend Immediate start available What You'll Do Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards Take dental X-rays Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment Provide post-operative instructions and patient education Maintain accurate patient records and charting Monitor and organize dental supplies and inventory Follow OSHA and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile clinical environment What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Current Radiation Safety and Infection Control certifications ( required ) At least one year of dental assisting experience ( required ) Coronal Polish certification ( preferred , but not required) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures Positive attitude and willingness to be a supportive team member This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can step in quickly, contribute to our team, and provide compassionate care to our patients while our team member is away.
