Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for procedures in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists during various treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and handling dental instruments with precision Take and develop dental x-rays using dental x-ray equipment and 3D scanners while adhering to safety protocols and radiation exposure guidelines Manage patient records using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to enhance understanding and comfort Perform dental instrument processing including cleaning, sterilization, and storage to maintain aseptic techniques and ensure clinical safety standards are met Support front desk operations by assisting with patient management tasks such as appointment scheduling, answering queries related to medical documentation, and coordinating patient flow seamlessly Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient record keeping and appointment management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and dental equipment operation Experience in pediatric dentistry preferred; familiarity with pediatric-specific protocols is a plus Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining radiation safety standards Skilled in dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly to patients of all ages including pediatrics Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies (HIPAA) to protect patient privacy at all times Capable of supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient clinical workflow Familiarity with medical documentation standards for accurate recording of vital signs and medical history in compliance with healthcare regulations Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication to patient care makes a real difference.
