Duties Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including chairside support and instrument handling Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention protocols Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with dental radiography standards Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Gather vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment following infection control policies and aseptic techniques Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist Skills Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures relevant to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry Proficiency with dental software including EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient management Knowledge of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control standards Ability to operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools safely and effectively Familiarity with medical documentation practices, including maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and administrative support roles Basic knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and procedures for working with young patients Join us in delivering top-quality dental care while developing your professional skills in a supportive environment.
