Our small, well established endodontic practice is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for accurate patient data management. Perform vital signs checks and assist in medical imaging as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing compassionate care to younger patients. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry practices. Ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit. Experience Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA not required) Radiology certification and CPR certification Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques is essential. Experience with 3D scanners is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment are crucial for success in this role.
