Job Description

Job Overview Windsmile Family Dental is a very fast-paced, patient-focused dental practice seeking a Dental Assistant (DA) to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, motivated professional who can work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative office environment. This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can juggle multiple tasks, accepts feedback professionally, and takes ownership of mistakes by correcting and improving processes. Duties Prepare office with daily opening and closing duties Maintain a safe and clean working environment Prepare treatment area for patient by following procedures and protocols Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting and seating patient Assist the doctors during dental treatment procedures Perform dental infection control procedures and sterilizing instruments Take radiographs and intraoral and extraoral photos as needed Educate patients about oral hygiene Perform all lab related procedures, including taking impressions, pouring and trimming casts, writing up lab slips and ensuring all cases that are to be delivered are in order. Polishing, flossing, giving fluoride and oral hygiene instructions Hand off patient at check -out Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory Document dental care services by charting in patient records Maintain strict compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board) Skills Proficiency with Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with X-ray imaging and 3D scanners used in modern dental clinics Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in various specialties Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of dental assisting Requirements (Must Have) Coronal Polishing certificate Radiation Safety certificate BLS/CPR certification Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
Pay:
$21.00 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 36.0 per week
