Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical skills and dental knowledge to support comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety at every step. Whether assisting with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or specialized procedures like oral surgery and endodontics, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and infection control. Paid positions are available for both entry-level and experienced candidates eager to grow their careers in dentistry. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management protocols and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while ensuring adherence to dental x-ray safety standards. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or patient management software to ensure accurate medical documentation. Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, dental instrument processing, and dental equipment operation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient documentation and record keeping. Familiarity with infection control practices aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards and dental sterilization procedures. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills for patient management and collaboration with the dental team. Understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA to ensure confidentiality and compliance in all medical documentation activities.
