The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the orthodontist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental/orthodontic terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontisst during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform medical imaging and assist with endodontic procedures as needed. Document patient information accurately, including medical histories and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide patients with instructions for post-operative care and educate them on oral hygiene practices. Manage patient records using Epic or similar dental software, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments and equipment. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction. Experience Previous experience as a Dental/orrthodontic Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices is essential. Familiarity with medical coding is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
