Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support dentists in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. Your expertise in chairside assisting, infection control, and dental procedures will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards Take dental X-rays Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) using Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history to support comprehensive patient care Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed Requirements Proven experience working in a dental environment with proficiency in dental assisting procedures Knowledge of dental terminology Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental a plus Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Strong understanding of infection control practices and sterilization processes within a dental setting Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable, along with knowledge of pediatrics-specific procedures and communication styles Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and coding accurately for billing purposes Ability to work effectively in a team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Knowledge of dental assisting certifications and licensing requirements in your region Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding dental care! Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
