This position is scheduled from Tuesday through Friday, offering a consistent four-day work week that promotes work-life balance while providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in holistic/biological/integrative, general and pediatric dentistry, with expertise in clinical procedures, patient management, and dental technology. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our dentists and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment for our patients. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring adherence to clinical confidentiality policies. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental sterilization systems following infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques aligned with infection control standards. Provide chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary, especially in pediatric or medically compromised cases, ensuring safety throughout treatment. Educate patients on oral health care practices, dental terminology, and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing oral health. Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless patient management from check-in to check-out using patient management software. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies and adhere strictly to healthcare infection prevention and control guidelines. Qualifications Valid RDA or RDAEF license with current certification in good standing. Proven experience working in general dentistry; experience in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is highly desirable. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental instruments processing procedures. Competence in operating dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and sterilization units. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection prevention practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while maintaining professionalism. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while managing multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
