Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records, taking vital signs, and ensuring accurate medical documentation using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures aligned with clinical confidentiality policies. Maintain dental equipment functionality and oversee dental instrument processing to ensure compliance with infection control standards. Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, answering patient inquiries, and coordinating patient management software systems. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate record keeping and appointment management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Expertise in dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control practices. Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental instruments, and medical imaging devices. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with medical documentation while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills for effective patient care delivery and collaboration with the dental team. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to provide compassionate care tailored for children.
