Job Description
Job Summary Boutique office in search of a treatment coordinator/dental assistant. Experience in oral surgery a plus but not required. Compensation and benefits are negotiable and above market rate will be considered for a qualified individual. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection prevention management protocols Take CBCT and utilize 3D scanners for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and treatment plans using patient management software to optimize clinic workflow Maintain clinical cleanliness by adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques in line with infection control standards Monitor vital signs and medical documentation when necessary for pediatric or medically complex patients Facilitate effective communication between patients, dental staff and external healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or treatment coordinator Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with patient management software is highly desirable Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care Knowledge of dental x-ray techniques, digital imaging including 3D scanners, and dental instrument processing protocols Familiarity with infection prevention management practices including sterilization procedures and aseptic technique Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their treatments and address their concerns confidently Certification in X-ray safety or radiography preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery are advantageous Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and healthcare safety regulations
