Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! In this role, you will support dentists during clinical procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans accurately while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Patient Management Software Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care and ensure clinical confidentiality policies are followed Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and providing excellent customer service as a dental receptionist when needed Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly Follow healthcare infection prevention and control guidelines to uphold the highest standards of safety in the dental clinic Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is preferred Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately and safely while following infection control protocols Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and dental instrument processing Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management Experience with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or general dentistry is highly desirable Certification in dental assisting or related healthcare infection prevention and control expertise is preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through expert care and compassionate service!
