In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Your expertise in dental assisting, patient care, and medical documentation will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using aseptic techniques Take and develop X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control standards to ensure patient safety and confidentiality Manage patient records efficiently using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, including updating medical history, vital signs, and medical documentation Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care while demonstrating excellent dental terminology knowledge Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records with accuracy Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and maintaining aseptic technique Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and medical imaging procedures Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and documentation Ability to perform vital signs measurement and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures confidently Familiarity with 3D scanners used in advanced diagnostics and treatment planning for prosthodontics or orthodontics Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference!
