The ideal candidate will work closely with our doctor to provide high-quality patient care, ensure efficient clinical flow, and help create a comfortable and positive experience for our patients. This role requires strong chairside assisting skills, attention to detail, an understanding of dental terminology and infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Responsibilities Assist the doctor chairside during examinations and dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials for procedures while maintaining proper sterilization and infection control protocols. Take digital X-rays, digital scans, and other diagnostic imaging as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, medical histories, and clinical documentation using dental software. Educate patients on procedures and post-operative care while helping maintain an efficient, organized, and positive clinical environment. Communicate effectively with the doctor, hygienists, and the front office team to support excellent patient care. Qualifications Valid California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license and required dental X-ray certification. Strong chairside assisting skills with knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control protocols. Comfortable with digital X-rays, dental technology, and electronic patient records. Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills with strong attention to detail. Warm, positive, and enthusiastic personality! Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a general or cosmetic dental practice. Experience with Open Dental software and digital/3D scanning technology preferred.
