Job Description
BI- Lingual in Chinese either Canto, or Mandarin Open Dental Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practitioners by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, managing patient records, and facilitating effective communication between patients and staff. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety standards. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient patient management. Conduct preliminary assessments by measuring vital signs and gathering medical history. Provide chairside assistance during various dental treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain an organized and clean work environment to enhance patient comfort. Operate 3D scanners for imaging as required. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques is essential. Familiarity with medical imaging technologies and infection control practices is required. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with knowledge of medical records management. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
