You will assist with chairside procedures, manage medical records, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and contribute to creating a comfortable experience for every patient. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary dental equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take dental x-rays using advanced dental imaging technology while ensuring proper radiology safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records accurately within Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Provide excellent patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support the dental team with instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and maintaining dental equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Collaborate effectively in four-handed dentistry setups to enhance efficiency during clinical procedures while maintaining high standards of infection control. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred; familiarity with dental assisting duties is highly valued. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, endodontics, oral surgery assistance, and pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Knowledge of dental software such as Open Dental or Dexis enhances workflow efficiency. Demonstrated understanding of infection prevention policies, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control expertise is required to uphold safety standards. Strong communication skills combined with anatomy knowledge and attention to detail will support your success in this role.
