We know that an incredible dental experience starts with an exceptional team, and we take pride in building a positive, collaborative workplace where our clinical staff can thrive. We are looking for a fun, energetic, and patient-focused Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) who loves working with children to join our practice. This is initially a part-time position with strong potential to transition into full-time as our practice continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Comfort:
Warmly greet children and parents, guiding them through their visit with a gentle, reassuring, and child-friendly approach.
Clinical Assisting:
Assist Dr. Martin during pediatric dental exams, preventive care, and restorative procedures.
Operatory Management:
Prepare treatment rooms, assemble specific procedure trays, and maintain strict instrument sterilization and infection control protocols.
Imaging:
Capture high-quality digital radiographs and panoramic images.
Patient Charting:
Maintain accurate, detailed electronic dental records and patient documentation.
Teamwork & Operations:
Participate in daily huddles, review upcoming cases with the doctor, and help keep clinical flow running smoothly and on schedule.
Compliance:
Maintain active certifications and comply with all office protocols and state/federal dental regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements Credentials:
Active California RDA license, current X-ray and coronal polishing certification required. CPR/BLS certification required.
Pediatric Passion:
A genuine love for working with kids, with the patience and enthusiasm needed to make young patients feel at ease.
Professional Disposition:
Excellent communication skills, a high attention to detail, and a positive, team-first attitude.
Physical Requirements:
Precise manual dexterity using hands and fingers to manipulate fine dental instruments. Capability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds throughout the day. Clear verbal communication skills in person and over the phone.
