Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using electronic medical records Provide chairside assistance by managing dental instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures. Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and answer questions related to dental terminology or procedures. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing patient management software and scheduling appointments efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with familiarity in dental clinic operations and medical documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment, infection control protocols, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining radiation safety standards. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professionals. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training in medical terminology is highly desirable.
