Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Assist dentists during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards. Manage patient records accurately using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Obtain vital signs from patients, review medical histories, and document medical documentation with precision to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term dental health. Support the dental team by processing dental instruments, maintaining dental equipment, and ensuring a sterile environment aligned with infection control protocols. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments. Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient patient record management. Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras (such as 3D scanners), and other clinical tools confidently. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices along with adherence to clinical confidentiality policies.
