Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant for a Newly Built Dental Office
Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to infection control protocols. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a supportive clinical setting. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper safety and technique standards are followed Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with medical imaging procedures including 3D scanning Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper functioning of dental equipment Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental reception team Skills Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures Ability to interpret dental terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanners preferred Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Excellent chairside assisting skills including Effective communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Scanning on iTero Coronal Polish Making temporary crowns This position offers an engaging opportunity for qualified Dental Assistants / Registered Dental Assistants committed to providing exceptional patient care while advancing their professional skills within a reputable dental practice.
