About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Pediatric Dental Assistant who loves working with children and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and committed to creating a positive dental experience for every child while supporting our pediatric dentist in providing outstanding clinical care. Key Responsibilities Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations and dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms before each appointment and clean rooms between patients Help children feel comfortable, safe, and confident throughout their visit Take digital X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care Accurately chart treatments and maintain patient records Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment Collaborate with our biological dentistry, general dentistry, functional medicine, and IV therapy teams to provide comprehensive patient care Deliver an exceptional patient experience through professionalism, compassion, and outstanding customer service Qualifications Certified Dental Assistant or graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting Program Current California X-Ray Certification (Required) Current CPR/BLS Certification (or willingness to obtain) Minimum of 2 years of pediatric dental assisting experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude with a warm, caring, and patient-centered approach Comfortable working with children of all ages, including those with dental anxiety Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Passion for holistic, biological, or integrative healthcare is a plus Willingness to learn and grow within an innovative wellness practice What We Offer Competitive pay: $25-$35 per hour , depending on experience Full-time position with opportunities for career growth Supportive, collaborative, and positive team culture Beautiful, modern, state-of-the-art wellness facility Continuing education and professional development opportunities Opportunity to work alongside experts in biological dentistry, pediatric dentistry, functional medicine, and advanced wellness therapies Meaningful work that positively impacts the health and well-being of children and families Why Join Smilebody?
