•We are in need of dental assistant coverage for 4 weeks. During that time schedule will be Mon-Thursday 8-5 with 1 hour unpaid lunch. After 4 weeks of coverage this position will transition to a PRN schedule, with potential for part time work in the future.

This flexible role provides support in delivering high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team with various clinical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental clinic, possess the ability to perform dental x-rays, and demonstrate excellent patient care skills. This position offers the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis, supporting our clinic's operations while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a clean and safe environment. Take and develop dental x-rays accurately, adhering to safety protocols. Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, addressing patient concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Gather patient medical histories and update records as needed. Assist with patient scheduling and administrative tasks when necessary. Follow infection control protocols and maintain compliance with health and safety standards. Requirements Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required. Proficiency in performing dental x-rays is essential. Strong patient care skills with a focus on comfort, communication, and professionalism. Ability to work independently and adapt to flexible scheduling needs as a PRN position. Knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection control practices. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
