In this vital role, you will support dentists in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring smooth clinical operations. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and patient management will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing support with dental instruments and materials. Take and develop dental x-rays while adhering to dental X-ray safety standards and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-operative instructions, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health. Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following strict infection control guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and assisting with billing or reception duties as a dental receptionist when needed. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix for efficient patient record management. 3 year RDA Expiriance Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry disciplines including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Experience with dental equipment operation such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental sterilization tools. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique to enhance procedure efficiency. Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention protocols and medical imaging standards to ensure safety compliance. Ability to accurately take vital signs and perform basic medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills suitable for patient care environments; capable of managing patient questions professionally while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
