The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical procedures, patient care, and dental office operations. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Take and dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Denticon, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Perform chairside assisting tasks including patient management, vital signs measurement, and explaining dental procedures using appropriate dental terminology. Maintain dental equipment functionality by performing routine maintenance and reporting issues promptly; ensure all medical documentation is up-to-date. Uphold infection prevention standards through strict adherence to healthcare infection control practices and sterilization protocols across all clinical activities. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection control practices. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with team members; ability to explain procedures clearly. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are advantageous.
