Solana Dental Studio is a brand-new, modern family dental office committed to providing exceptional dental care in a warm, welcoming environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and highly motivated Dental Assistant to become one of the first members of our growing team. Tuesday:
9:00 AM•6:00
PM Friday:
8:00 AM•5:00
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM•2:00 PM Additional hours and full-time opportunities may become available as the practice continues to grow. Responsibilities As the first and last person our patients interact with, you'll play a key role in creating an outstanding patient experience.
Your responsibilities include:
Greeting patients with warmth and professionalism Assist the dentist chairside with adult and pediatric patients while providing friendly, compassionate, and efficient patient care. Prepare and maintain operatories, instruments, materials, and equipment before, during, and after procedures. Assist with a wide variety of procedures including restorative dentistry, crowns/bridges, root canals, dentures, extractions, bone grafting, and implant surgeries. Take digital X-rays, panoramic images, intraoral photos, impressions, and digital scans as permitted. Prepare patients for treatment, update medical histories, obtain vital signs, and communicate patient concerns to the dentist. Provide a comfortable and positive experience for children and anxious patients, using friendly and age-appropriate communication. Follow proper infection control, sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety protocols. Perform efficient operatory turnover, sterilize instruments, and keep clinical areas clean, organized, and fully stocked. Prepare surgical and implant setups while maintaining proper sterile/aseptic technique during procedures. Assist with accurate clinical charting, treatment documentation, laboratory cases, and postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist. Monitor clinical inventory, restock supplies, check expiration dates, and notify the appropriate team member when supplies need to be ordered. Work collaboratively with the dentist, front office, and other team members while maintaining a professional, respectful, dependable, positive, and patient-focused attitude. QualificationsRequired Bilingual in English and Spanish Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, positive, and professional attitude Comfortable using computers and learning new software Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Outstanding customer service skills Professional appearance and presentation Preferred Previous experience with RCT, dentures, extractions, and implant surgeries Previous experience with digital dentistry including intraoral scanner Happy to work both with adults and children Experience with PPO insurance Experience with Denti-Cal insurance Experience with dental practice management software, Open Dental and PracticeWeb Don't have clinical dental experience?
