Dental Assistant/Receptionist
Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This energetic position combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, providing a comprehensive experience in a relaxed paced dental environment. You will be the friendly face patients see first and the efficient organizer behind the scenes, contributing to a positive and professional atmosphere. Your expertise in medical billing, electronic health records management, and patient service will help us uphold the highest standards of care and administrative excellence. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency. Patient Focused. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix system. Knowledge of compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist dental practitioners during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and providing chairside support. Where 4 handed dentistry used, taking all types of impressions, cleaning and sterilization and records with instruments and infection Ability to make temporary crowns a big plus. Manage phone communication with patients and insurance providers, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry , dental records and management, and maintaining office and dental supplies inventory . Use Dentrix software tools to generate reports, update schedules, and assist in clinic documentation review to ensure smooth workflow. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies. Prior clinic experience in a dental office setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with Dentrix Hub. Strong knowledge of Dental terminology, coding and billing procedures with Dentrix. Experience with health insurance processes with PPOs and FFS documentation. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Excellent computer skills with familiarity in Dentrix applications and electronic health record management tools is a plus. Proven ability to provide outstanding patient service while maintaining clinical confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.
