Job Overview We are looking for an Endodontic Assistant to join us on Wednesdays. You'll be working with a small, efficient team and will be assisting an experienced endodontist. Our patients are often coming to us in pain, so we need someone with genuine empathy and a calm, caring presence. There's room to learn and improve on the job, but you need to already have endo assisting experience to start. Duties Assist the endodontist during root canals, retreatments, and surgical procedures. Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment correctly and get the room ready for each patient. Take clear and accurate X-rays and 3D scans. Manage the patient from check-in to check-out: take vital signs, update medical history as needed, get consent forms signed, and clearly explain the procedure and after-care instructions. Track inventory levels and let the team know when supplies need to be reordered. Reliable and on-time attendance is a must. Flexible and willing to support other areas of the office as needed. Clean and sterilize all instruments and equipment following infection control standards. Follow infection prevention protocols at all times. Keep accurate records in Practice Management Software, including proper coding for insurance claims. Keep patient information private and handle it according to HIPAA rules. Requirements Experience as a dental assistant, ideally in endodontics. Must hold a current CPR certification. Comfortable using computers and learning a new software. Good understanding of dental terms, tooth anatomy, and infection control practices. Dental assisting certification (or equivalent experience). Training or experience in endodontics is a big plus. Comfortable taking X-rays and using a CBCT scanner. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain procedures clearly and help patients feel comfortable. Knowledge of infection prevention and safety standards. If you meet these requirements and are looking for consistent Wednesday hours, we'd love to hear from you.
