The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently. The hours are Tuesdays 9:00am-12:00pm,Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:00am-5:00pm. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, including medical history and vital signs. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Assist in various dental specialties, including endodontics, implants and general dentistry procedures. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic setting is preferred. . Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data protection. Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and infection control standards. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure. Understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures and treatments. Experience with medical documentation, medical records management, and medical coding is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not mandatory.
