Job Description
Overview Little Fox Pediatric Dentistry is hiring! We are looking for a friendly, energetic dental assistant. You will support the doctor during pediatric dental treatment, ensure smooth clinic operations, and provide compassionate care tailored to children's needs. Duties Assist the dentist with operative procedures Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols. Take dental x-rays Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical and dental histories in Dentrix, and scheduling appointments. Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures and maintain clinical confidentiality policies at all times. Educate children and their guardians on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions with clear communication Maintain accurate documentation and assist dentist in note taking Uphold healthcare infection prevention and control standards consistently across all clinical activities. Experience Prior experience working in a pediatric dentistry clinic is highly preferred Have a growth mindset: we are looking for a team member who wants to learn and grow Proficiency with Dentrix, or similar software Knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and sterilization procedures Familiarity with dental x-ray techniques Excellent patient management skills with the ability to handle children's unique needs compassionately and effectively communicate with their parents Maintain clinical confidentiality policies. Pay:
$19.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 34.0 per weekBenefits:
