Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support dentists by performing advanced clinical procedures, assisting chairside during complex treatments, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and dental technology will contribute to delivering exceptional dental services in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists with expanded functions procedures and clinical tasks within your scope of practice Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging ensuring accuracy and patient comfort Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, taking vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits Operate and maintain dental equipment including intraoral cameras, digital scanners, and other clinical tools while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies Document medical and dental procedures accurately using DOX Support general pediatric procedures along with specialized areas such as oral surgery. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support for various procedures Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Experience with dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure infection control standards are met Familiarity with patient management scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes Ability to operate dental X-ray machines safely while maintaining compliance with radiation safety guidelines Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention policies and general clinic operations to support a safe environment Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding patient care through technical excellence and compassionate service. Pay:
$26.00 - $29.00 per hour
