Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist dentists during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, equipment, and materials before procedures. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain proper infection control standards. Take and process dental X-rays as permitted by applicable state regulations. Prepare patients for treatment and explain procedures to help ensure comfort and understanding. Provide chairside assistance, including instrument transfer, suctioning, and preparation of dental materials. Record patient medical and dental histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental practices. Monitor and maintain dental supplies, equipment, and inventory. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and facility policies and procedures. Assist with scheduling, patient records, and other administrative duties as needed. Provide professional, compassionate, and patient-centered support while promoting safety and quality dental care. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid, and unrestricted CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position. Minimum of 1 year/s of recent experience as a Dental Assistant within the last 3 years . Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
