Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging dental tools, and setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners. Assist dentists during various procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, using four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique while maintaining strict infection prevention protocols in line with clinical confidentiality policies. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal health outcomes. Follow infection control standards by adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for all. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental reception team to enhance patient flow. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Hands-on knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and medical imaging. Competence in operating dental equipment such as X-ray units, 3D scanners, and patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable, along with expertise in infection prevention management and healthcare infection control practices. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and clinical confidentiality at all times. Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred; ongoing professional development in areas like endodontics or oral surgery is a plus.
