Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and versatile professional to fulfill a dual role as Front Desk Receptionist and Dental Assistant Cover within our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage front office responsibilities efficiently, as well as be able to provide cover as a Dental Assistant (or have the ability and willingness to learn). This role offers an engaging opportunity to support patient care, ensure smooth clinic operations, and uphold the highest standards of clinical confidentiality and infection control. The successful applicant will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences. Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities Greet Patients warmly, schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle appointment modifications with precision. Familiarity with SoftDent or other popular dental management software like EagleSoft or Dentrix. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist with all administrative tasks including billing and coding procedures and records accurately with dental coding standards, and managing correspondence efficiently. Required Dental Assistant Skills (or willing and able to learn) Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments according to infection prevention management procedures and ensuring all dental equipment is operational. Assist dentists during clinical procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support with dental instruments and materials.

Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Manage inventory of dental supplies, including dental instruments, sterilization materials, etc. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is essential; familiarity with general dentistry practices is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR systems such as SoftFent, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix, for managing electronic health records is required. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security is mandatory. Demonstrated ability to perform dental assisting duties including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, instrument processing, and infection control procedures. Experience with a general and cosmetic dentistry office is essential. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation standards, and clinical confidentiality policies is also essential. Proven capability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
Pay:
$19.00 - $26.00 per hour
