Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and sterilization. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Gather and record vital signs, medical history, and other patient information to support comprehensive care Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and records Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique Familiarity with dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and infection control procedures is essential Experience using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, billing, and record keeping Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral surgery and oral anatomy knowledge is beneficial Demonstrated ability to follow clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare infection prevention standards This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in healthcare while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
