Job Description

Dental Assistant Dental Associates of Delaware (D.A.D.) is an independent, dentist-owned dental practice group proudly serving our community since 1975. We're looking for a skilled, compassionate, and team-focused Dental Assistant to join our team and help provide an exceptional experience for every patient. As a Dental Assistant, you'll work closely with our doctors and clinical team to provide quality patient care, support efficient treatment, and help patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit. What You'll Do Prepare patients and operatories for examinations and treatment. Assist doctors during exams and procedures by providing instruments, materials, and equipment. Take dental radiographs and assist with digital scanning and other clinical technology. Assist with treatment procedures, including temporary restorations and other restorative needs. Provide attentive patient care throughout appointments and assist with post-treatment instructions. Maintain clean, stocked, and properly prepared operatories. Complete sterilization, infection control, and equipment maintenance procedures. Document patient care and treatment information as directed by the doctor. Assist with laboratory cases and other clinical duties as needed. Work closely with doctors, Treatment Coordinators, and the clinical team to provide a seamless patient experience. Participate in ongoing training and support other responsibilities as needed. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and being part of a team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well in a fast-paced clinical environment, and brings a positive attitude and willingness to learn to the team. Skills & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Dental assisting education or previous dental assisting experience preferred. Current Delaware X-Ray Certification. Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, sterilization, and infection control. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Comfortable using computers, dental software, and clinical technology. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work collaboratively with the dental team. Work Environment This position works in a professional dental office with regular interaction with patients, doctors, and team members. The role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, and work throughout the clinical environment while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. Pay:
$16.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
