Job Description

Our surgical practice is looking for someone to join our surgical assistant team. We are willing to train a dental assistant without surgical experience if you are dedicated, committed, and have the desire to learn and take your assisting experience to the next level. The responsibilities for this position include the following: Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Provide complete support to surgeon throughout routine in-office surgical procedures, including extractions, placement of dental implants, and full mouth rehab cases.
  • Participate in monitoring patient's vital statistics during surgery.
  • Review pre-op and post-op instructions with patients.
  • Review patient health history and make updates using our practice management software.
  • Acquire diagnostic x-rays.
  • Prepare and break down surgical trays and operatories.
Qualifications and Required Skills for this
Role:
  • Superior organizational skills and be able to take initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, prioritize tasks & comfortable with computers
  • Prior experience in dentistry is required and oral surgery experience is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation.
Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience in the dental profession necessary; oral surgery preferred.
Pay:
$16.00 - $23.00 per hour
