The ideal candidate will support the General Dentist by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on general dentistry. The position requires strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical documentation, and clinical procedures including taking Dental X-rays. A commitment to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols is essential. Responsibilities Assist dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Take and develop X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control guidelines. Skills Proficiency with Open Dental or similar platforms. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience with X-ray techniques and medical imaging equipment; familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic technique in a dental setting. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics. Ability to work collaboratively within a team of dental professionals including dental receptionists and hygienists.
