Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, and prosthodontics with efficiency and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all dental tools are ready for use in accordance with infection prevention management policies Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to radiation safety standards and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and up-to-date Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment sessions Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA standards Support dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of infection control within the clinic Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with expanded functions certification or equivalent training in dental assisting Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other medical imaging devices safely and effectively Familiarity with infection prevention management practices and sterilization procedures aligned with healthcare infection control standards Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide outstanding patient care Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality policies Ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join our team where your skills will make a meaningful difference!
