Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This energetic position combines clinical support with front office responsibilities, creating a lively and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. You will be responsible for assisting with dental procedures, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a high standard of clinical confidentiality. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help foster a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments following infection prevention management and dental sterilization procedures Assist dentists during procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols and aseptic techniques Record medical documentation including vital signs, medical history, and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Manage patient flow efficiently by updating medical records, processing insurance claims, and handling billing inquiries Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control standards and dental equipment maintenance protocols Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for accurate record keeping and scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures Experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization techniques, and infection prevention management Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools safely and effectively Excellent communication skills as a Dental Receptionist to provide outstanding patient care and manage patient inquiries professionally Familiarity with healthcare infection control standards, aseptic technique, and clinical confidentiality policies Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and healthcare infection prevention expertise Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-tier dental care while fostering a lively atmosphere that values professionalism, compassion, and teamwork!
