Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist dentists in patient care, performing chair-side procedures such as AO4/AO6, implants, and implant restorations. Perform a variety of patient care, office, and clinical duties. Ensure patients are as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare instrument trays for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care. Perform intraoral scans with Trios. Take dental X-rays Help maintain dental supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Update and maintain patient dental records, handle general clinic administrative work, maintain operatories and the dental office, and efficiently direct patient flow. Adhere to company policies regarding patient communication and maintain a professional appearance and behavior.

Restorative Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:

One year of experience with implants preferred. Completion of the accredited training program and/or national DANB Certified or Registered Dental Assistant [CDA/RDA], depending on state regulations Certifications/permits per state regulations Current Basic Life Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
