Job Description

We are seeking a Full Time Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team! We're looking for an energetic, compassionate, and motivated dental assistant to join our growing pediatric dentistry and orthodontic practice in Jupiter, FL. A Dental Assistant plays a vital role in delivering outstanding clinical care while creating a comfortable, positive experience for every child and family. This position involves preparing patients for dental procedures, assisting the dentist during treatments, and ensuring that all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained. The Dental Assistant also helps maintain patient records and assists in appointment scheduling, contributing to a smooth and organized clinical environment. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, patient-focused, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented practice. Responsibilities Welcome and help anxious children feel comfortable during their visit. Assist the dentist during various dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed. Manage patient records, including updating dental charts and entering information into dental software systems. Sterilize and maintain instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines. Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-operative instructions. Assist with behavior guidance and provide compassionate support to anxious children. Monitor inventory and restock clinical supplies. Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment. Work closely with doctors and teammates to keep the schedule running smoothly.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting required. Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program (Preferred) Experience in pediatrics is a plus! X-Ray Certification (Preferred) You do not need to be an expanded functions DA to apply - we are willing to train the right person! Knowledge of dental terminology, sterilization techniques, and infection control standards. Basic proficiency with dental practice management software, preferably Open Dental. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working with children of all ages, including those with special healthcare needs.
