Job Opportunity:
Dental Assistant / Expanded Functions Dental Assistant We are a female owned boutique-style prosthodontic dental office seeking a motivated, dependable Dental Assistant or Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team. The ideal candidate has a great attitude, takes initiative, works well with others, and is willing to learn and assist with both clinical and office duties.Dental Assistant Duties May Include:
- Chairside assisting for prosthodontic, restorative, surgical, implant, and general dental procedures
- Preparing rooms, instruments, and materials while maintaining sterilization and infection-control standards
- Greeting and seating patients, taking vital signs, updating medical history, and supporting a comfortable patient experience
- Taking radiographs and assisting with impressions, scans, photos, models, and lab-case coordination
- Maintaining supplies, organizing operatories, supporting patient flow, and assisting with phones or scheduling as needed
- Applying fluoride varnish, desensitizing agents, and other approved materials when permitted
- Placing and removing matrices, retraction cords, and sutures when permitted
- Assisting with fabrication of temporary crowns and Essix-style retainers
- Polishing crowns, removable dentures, and night guards extraorally
Qualifications:
- Certifications required: Dental Xray Certification, CDA, Expanded functions, CPR
- Dental assisting experience preferred; prosthodontic, implant, surgical, or specialty experience a plus
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification preferred or willingness to obtain if eligible
- Positive attitude, strong initiative, teamwork, dependability, organization, attention to detail, and willingness to help wherever needed
Position Details:
- Part-time position, average 24-32 hours per week
- Opportunity to work additional days if willing to perform front desk duties
