In this energetic role, you will support orthodontists in delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. We have 4 locations: Miami Beach North Miami Beach Cooper City Hollywood Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during patient procedures, including placing and adjusting braces, appliances, and retainers with precision and care. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as 3D scanners and dental handpieces, and ensuring all tools are ready for use. Manage patient records efficiently using patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Take and develop dental x-rays and medical imaging to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support infection prevention management by following strict aseptic techniques and dental sterilization procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment. Coordinate appointment scheduling with the dental receptionist, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks related to clinical operations. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting is highly preferred, especially in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for managing medical records and documentation efficiently. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry practices is required to support comprehensive patient care. Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilization tools, and medical imaging devices is necessary. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies along with aseptic techniques to ensure safety for patients and staff. Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with the team and provide outstanding patient management. Ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
