Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental X-ray images, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with dental x-ray safety standards Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging procedures to support comprehensive patient evaluations Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and medical records Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical histories, and providing pre- and post-treatment instructions with excellent patient care skills Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting with a strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Familiarity with dental equipment operation such as dental x-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools Ability to operate patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix efficiently for scheduling, billing, and record keeping Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health conditions Strong communication skills as a dental receptionist when coordinating patient flow and providing excellent customer service Ability to perform dental instrument processing accurately while adhering to infection prevention policies Join our team as a Registered Dental Assistant if you're passionate about delivering top-tier patient care in a fast-paced environment!
