WHAT YOU'LL DO

Chairside & Specialty Care Provide four-handed chairside assistance for general and specialty procedures Set up operatories and surgical suites and keep room turnover efficient Pass instruments, maintain a clear operative field, and retract oral tissues Prepare medicaments and impression materials Imaging & Infection Control Take diagnostic-quality dental images while following radiation-safety procedures Follow strict infection-control standards and prepare instruments for sterilization Patient Safety & Monitoring Assist with patient positioning, identification, and procedural time-outs Monitor blood pressure, pulse, EKG, and pulse oximetry during moderate sedation and recovery Hands-On Patient Care Remove sutures and periodontal dressings Take impressions, place rubber dams and matrix bands, and perform coronal polishing Fabricate and recement temporary crowns and bridges Provide post-op instructions and patient education Lab & Administrative Support Pour impressions, prepare study models, make denture impression trays, and prepare bite rims Assist with charting, treatment plans, and patient scheduling Protect patient privacy in line with HIPAA requirements ★

WHAT YOU BRING

Graduate of a one-year CODA-accredited Dental Assistant program 1+ year of dental assisting experience Current Dental Radiological Certificate Current BLS/CPR certification Valid TB test Competence in four-handed dentistry Experience assisting with oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and implants A courteous, compassionate approach to every patient ★
