This is a true hybrid position. The person in this role will regularly work in both the front and back office, with responsibilities shifting throughout the day based on the needs of the practice. You may spend part of your day assisting the dentist and supporting clinical care, then transition to the front office to help patients, answer phones, schedule appointments or assist with administrative responsibilities. We're looking for someone who is comfortable doing both and understands that being a strong team member means being willing to step in wherever help is needed. What You'll Do Front Office Responsibilities Welcome and check in patients and provide a friendly, professional experience Answer phones and assist patients with questions Schedule and confirm patient appointments Verify patient information and insurance benefits Assist with treatment coordination and patient communication Collect payments and assist with other front-office tasks Help keep the front office organized and running smoothly Back Office Responsibilities Assist the dentist during patient procedures Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Take dental X-rays as permitted Sterilize instruments and follow infection-control protocols Assist with patient care and clinical procedures Support the dentist and clinical team throughout the day What We're Looking For 2+ years of dental assisting experience Comfortable working in both the front and back office Strong understanding of dental terminology and clinical procedures Excellent communication and patient service skills Organized, dependable and detail-oriented Able to comfortably transition between clinical and administrative responsibilities Willing to jump in and help wherever the practice needs support Positive, professional and team-oriented attitude About Conway Oaks Dental & Operation Dental Conway Oaks Dental is part of Operation Dental , a dentist-founded dental organization focused on providing exceptional patient care while supporting teams with the resources, structure and support they need to thrive.
