Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting orthodontists by preparing patients, assisting during procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient comfort. Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during various procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring proper sterilization protocols are followed. Take X-rays and 3D scans, accurately documenting findings. Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices. Maintain detailed medical documentation compliant with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality of patient records. Support infection control protocols by adhering to OSHA standards and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless delivery of individualized orthodontic treatment for our patients. Experience Prior experience working as a dental assistant in an orthodontic or general dentistry setting is a plus. Experience supporting chairside assisting.
